INDIAN DENTISTRY ONLINE - NET ETIQUETTE

The IDO is Internet technology applied to a close knit dental group. There are some universal generally acceptable codes of conduct on the internet which are recommended for all IDO postings. A summarization of this code of conduct could be summarized as
  • Capitals should alwasys be avoided. Capitals in a chat or an Email is a represntation of shouting.
  • When responding to a thread, please do not append a copy of the original mail. This is unnecessarily repetative and consumes unnecessary bandwidth
  • Try to restrict as much as possible to dental or dental related threads
  • Please do not get personal towards any other IDO member.Everyone is most welcome to do challenge an assertion or a statement and get into a debate but without making any personal references.
  • Please do not post attachments which are larger than 200 KB. The posting wil not be sent across. This is a built in restriction of the IDO list.
  • There should be no gender or religious bias in your comments
  • A few abbreviations that are common parlance on the internet can also be used here. IMHO stands for "In My Honest Opinion". BTW is "By The Way". LOL is "Laughing Out Loud". An Indian acronym used in dentistry is POPAT which means "Pain on Percussion And Trauma"
